Today E-type has his birthday. Hip, hip, hooray!
2005-01-06
The new E-type single is now, effectively January 5, released, and can be found
in any record store. The single is a two-track single featuring "The predator"
and "Far up in the air". Too see the cover and listen to the songs, go to the
singles section.

The next E-type single will be released in December and contain the songs "The
Predator" and "Far up in the air". More info on the single and sound clips will
follow later on.

Not too many updates on the websites lately, mostly depending on the fact that
not much is going on at the moment. Christmas concerts will take place in Malmö
and Gothenburg, which will be the last E-type appearance for while, for more

The Rix FM festival to take place in Kungsträdgården on September 4 will be
broadcasted on TV3 on September 11 and on ZTV on September 12. Thus, good news
for those who will not be able to make it to Stockholm!
E-type will be on
stage around 20.35 and will perform three songs.

On Monday August 30, E-type will once again perform Olympia in Kungsträdgården
in Stockholm as the athletes from the Swedish olympic team come back to Sweden,
and E-type will be on stage at 19.30 and 20.00 to celebrate the arrival of our
heroes. SVT will broadcast live, so there is a chance to see the performance
even for people not living in Stockholm.
Olympia stays at #4 at the
Swedish sales chart for this week (week 35).

E-type is making his way up the Swedish sales chart like a speeding bullet and
Olympia reaches #5 this week, which means that it gains two positions from last
week.

The single Olympia is making its way up the Swedish Sales chart and is currently
at #7.

The video for Olympia, which has had web-premiere at aftonbladet.se, is now also
available at e-type.se. Go to the videos-section to see it!
The singles
Camilla and Olympia are out in the stores since mid July and Olympia entered the
Swedish sales chart at #15 last week, and is currently #23 at the Swedish dance
chart.
At the end of the week the sound clips of the singles will be
available for listening.

Martin "E-type" Eriksson has been chosen cultural ambassador for Luleå. He gets
the award for his positive music, his strong output on stage and for his down to
earth way of being - simply a role model.
E-type has strong personal ties to Luleå. During his first three years he grew
up in Luleå. During all his life he has spent some months in the summer and
Christmas just south of Luleå.
The award will be given to E-type on stage during LuleKalaset, on August 6.

This is what is decided regarding the coming releases:
Olympia will be
released on July 14, and contain the radio version and an extended version. In
the other countries Camilla will be released instead.
Loud pipes save
lives -sports edition will be released on August 4 and contain two additional
bonus tracks, Olympia and Campione.

On Thursday July 1 E-type will perform the new single "Olympia" live for the
first time, in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm. E-type will enter the stage a few
minutes after 18.00.

Loud pipes save lives has now reached gold sales status, which means that more
than 30 000 copies have been sold in Sweden. Congratulations E-type!

E-type will perform live in Helsinki in Finland on June 12, at the NRJ party in
Kaivopuisto. E-type will enter the stage around 19.40 and will perform Life,
Here I go again, Camilla and Paradise.

The concert in Norrköping on June 5 has been re-scheduled to July 9. The concert
originally to take place on July 9, in Gävle, has therefore also been
re-scheduled, but the new date is still uncertain. Also, a concert in Borgholm
on July 6 has been added to the tour schedule!

The official song for the Swedish olympic team will be performed by E-type! The
song will be called Olympic. There is no info yet on when the song will be
released.

E-type will appear on Swedish Big Brother on Monday, on Kanal 5. Another
performance from E-type in the near future is the performance at OKEJ-dagen, on

Simply amazing! What a comeback to the music scene E-type's parformance with
Paradise was in Melodifestivalen! And the response was incredible. Together with
Fame E-type received most of the votes from the Swedish people (549 315 people
voted).
E-type's performance probably was one of the wildest in Melodifestivalen's
history, and anybody who hasn't seen Martin and his band perform live might have
been surprised. Mikkey Dee from Motörhead was sitting behind the drums as
planned, and there were a lot of fireworks going off. If you missed E-type's
performance, you have your next chance on March 20 when the big final show is
broadcasted.

Yesterday it was possible to listen to Paradise on-line, but since E-type
qualified for the show in Globen the song is no longer available. Thus, the next
chance to listen to the song will be on March 20 when E-type has his performance
in Globen.

The voting is now open, since the tracks have been published on-line and people
have had a chance to form an opinion. If you call 099-409 08, the call will cost
you SEK 5.70, and SEK 1.41 goes to charity (Världens barn). Voting is only
possible within Sweden. You can call until the hosts of the show say that voting
has closed. Let's all hope that tonight's show will be a successful one for
E-type!

Today is the big day, when E-type will perform in Melodifestivalen. Please vote

The release date for the coming single is still uncertain, and if E-type
qualifies for the final in the 'Melodifestival' on March 20, the single cannot
be released until after that date.

Today it's exactly one week until E-type will perform his first single from the
coming album live in front of a few million Swedish TV viewers. If you want to
vote next week, the phone number to vote for E-type will be 099-409 08. The
voting will only be open during the competition, so it no good calling earlier.

If E-type wins next weekend in the second Melodifestivalen competition, he will
be competing in the final show in Stockholm later this spring. If you are

It is official that E-type will perform the new single Paradise in the Swedish
"Melodifestivalen", where the winner will represent Sweden in the Eurovision
Song Contest later this spring. E-type is one of the established artists who
were specifically asked to join as "joker". The song is written by E-type
together with Fredrik "Mud" Ekdahl, and it is produced by Max Martin and Rami.
Those who have heard it say that it is a great song with equally great chances
to perform well. Probably no one is surprised...
Strangely enough, we can in part thank Bert Karlsson for E-type's participation,
since E-type had first declined to take part in the contest - but changed his
mind after having seen a statement from Bert saying that E-type had nothing to
do in Melodifestivalen since he had not written any songs lately and wasn't
capable enough.

A release date has been set for the new E-type album, which name can not yet be
revealed. March 24 is the planned day for the release, which means that the wait
is less than two months!
